The mainstay of our 28,000m2 working farm is our olive plantation of the Verdial variety. The olives are harvested in December,
taken to our local co-operative and turned into a top notch olive oil.
The yurts are situated on a plateau, for the sole use of yurt guests, overlooked by La Maroma which,
at 2,065 metres, is the highest peak in the Tejeda Mountain
Range and National Big Game Reserve.
Surrounded by untouched nature, the area is served by numerous paths and trails for visiting and hiking.
We have two sizes of yurt accommodation - 14 foot and 12 foot in diameter.
Both sizes are comfortably equipped with a choice of a double or twin beds, chairs, table, chest-of-drawers, rug and electric fan. We also
provide towels, bed linen, bathrobes, bedside reading lights, power points and space for your clothes, plus guides to walking and wildlife
plus lots of novels, games and an MP3 player.
In the casita, a building next to the yurts, there is a bathroom and kitchen. There is also an adjacent barbeque area with shaded
dining terrace; an ideal spot to sit and watch the changing colours of Mount Maroma as the sun sets. The plateau also houses
a swimming pool for the sole use of yurt guests.
Kitchen facilities include a fridge/freezer, gas hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee perculator, pots and pans, utensils, sink
and preparation areas. Bathroom facilities include a shower, wash-basin, bidet and toilet. Both have hot and cold water.
Clothes can be hand-washed in the special and typically Andalucian outdoor basin, or you can use the washing machine adjacent to the farmhouse.
Planted between the yurts is a small organic vegetable and herb garden. You are welcome to help yourselves to whatever is in season.
We live in a renovated farm house five minute´s walk away, where there
is an additional swimming pool and internet access. We can offer airport pickup, fridge stocking and anything
you may require to make your holiday relaxing and enjoyable.
